简介：S3-(N-morpholino)propanesulfonic Acid，缩写为MOPS，中文名3-(N-吗啡啉)丙磺酸，是生物化学和分子生物学中常用的一种两性离子缓冲试剂，结构类似于2-（N-吗啡啉）乙磺酸（MES），两者都特别开发为“Good”缓冲组分。MOPS的有效pH缓冲范围为6.5-7.9，pKa=7.2（25℃），其pKa比MES（pKa=6.1）更接近生理pH7.4，因此更适合用做生理相关的缓冲液，如用于哺乳动物细胞的培养（浓度应≤20mM）、RNA变性琼脂糖凝胶电泳实验（以20mM的浓度使用于甲醛凝胶效果较好）、不连续聚丙烯酰胺凝胶电泳等。

用途及描述：科研试剂，广泛应用于分子生物学，药理学等科研方面,严禁用于人体。本品主要用于RNA的变性电泳也可作为二维凝胶电泳中等电聚焦电泳（IEF）的电解质系统成分；还可应用于Northern杂交，作为RNA的分离和转膜时的缓冲液。
使用方法推荐
一：储存液的配制，用于细胞培养相关实验：按照表格里溶解性溶解，如用于细胞实验,请配制成液体之后用0.22um过滤后再加入细胞。
二：储存液的保存：MOPS Free Acid is very soluble in water, at least to 33% (w/w), giving a clear colorless solution. The pH of a 0.1 M solution is generally 3.3-4.1 (temperature-dependent). The specifications for M5162, the SigmaUltra product, set limits for a 1 M solution. Solutions should be stable at 2-8°C for at least six months. Sterilization should be done by filtration through 0.2 µm filters. Autoclaving is not recommended for any sulfonic acid buffers. If buffers must be nuclease-free, it is best to treat the water, then add the buffer solids after autoclaving. When MOPS solutions have been autoclaved, they turn yellow (although pH does not change measurably). The identity of the yellow breakdown product is unknown.
